Combined IT and power supply infrastructure sizing for standalone green data centers

In this work, we propose a two-step methodology for designing and sizing data center solely powered by local renewable energy. The first step consists in determining the necessary IT equipment processing given workload composed of batch service tasks. We an adapted binary search algorithm prove its optimality to find minimum number servers handle workload. When is computed, second defining supplying electrical infrastructure using wind turbines photovoltaic panels as primary sources.
